Old Sacramento: Old Sacramento has something to offer for everyone. It's a great place to
visit if you're interested in shopping, dining, entertainment, or to see historic attractions and
museums. The streets are filled with visitors everyday of the week and especially on the
weekends and evenings. Old Sacramento dining includes Joe's Crab Shack,  Firehouse, and
The Delta House. Old Sacramento has a nightlife as well. Those that are interested in evening
or late night entertainment can visit places like The Laughs Unlimited Club, The Outdoor
Lounge, and Tunnel 21.

Sacramento Capitol: The California State Capitol Museum is located in downtown
Sacramento between 10th and L Streets.  Museum's daily hours are 9am to 5pm including
weekends. The museum is closed for state holidays. The admission is free. Tours are
available from 9am to 4pm daily on the hour. The museum displays antiques, artifacts, murals,
Sacramento governor's portraits, and contemporary art collections. The building is located
inside the Capitol Park. It is filled with beautiful gardens and trees from all over the world. A
stroll through the park will lighten anyone's mood!

Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament: The Cathedral was built in 1889 and recently went
through a multi million dollar renovation to both, the exterior and interior. The exterior style
is Italian Baroque and the interior style is Victorian. The interior is filled with exquisite artwork
that covers every wall and ceiling of the building. Each wall has a scripture or a passage from
the Bible and a picture that complements it. It stands tall in downtown Sacramento on 11th
Street between J and K Streets.

California State Railroad Museum: The railroad museum is located in Old Sacramento. It
contains unique attractions, special events, exhibits, and  extravagant trains. The museum is
open daily excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day from 10am to 5pm.
Admission is inexpensive- $8.00 adults, $3 youth, and children under 5 get in for free. The
museum offers facilities on site to those who want to plan a special event.

The Gold Rush History Center: The history center is located in Old Sacramento. Originally,
the building was built in 1854 and served as the city hall, fire department dormitory, jail, court,
and police station. The building deteriorated fast and had many structural defects that leaded
up to its demolition in 1913. The current history center is a replica of the original building that
was built in 1985.

Governor's Mansion: The Mansion was built in 1877 and purchased by the State of California
in 1903. The first residents after the State of California purchased the mansion were governor
George Pardee and his family. This mansion served as a home to 12 other governors for 64
years. It is located on the corner of 16th and H Streets in downtown Sacramento. It is open
daily from 10am to 5pm.

Sutter's Fort: The fort is located in downtown Sacramento between K and L Streets and 26th
and 28th Streets. The Mexican government gave John Sutter a land grant that he used to
build himself an agricultural empire. During the Gold Rush, he left his empire and a piece of
history that is now known as Sutter's Fort Museum. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm and
closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.  

Delta King: The Delta King is located in Old Sacramento. It offers fine dining, entertainment,
and serves as a hotel. During holidays, such as New Year's Eve, the boat offers all night
entertainment and a great view for the fireworks display over the Sacramento River. The boat
sits on the Sacramento River and offers a beautiful view of the river and the city skyline.

Aerospace Museum: The museum was formerly known as the McClellan Aviation Museum.
The name was changed in 2005, however the museum has been around since 1982. The
museum is located in McClellan- minutes away from downtown Sacramento. The museum
contains exhibits such as the fun with physics exhibit, military and civilian aircraft, rocket
engines, and a motion ride simulator.  

Heidrick Ag History Center: The museum is located in Woodland just off Interstate 5,
minutes from downtown Sacramento. It displays farm tractors and harvesting machinery from
the late 1800 through the middle of last century. The museum exhibits a collection of rare and
unusual farm machinery that was collected over the course of Mr. Heidricks lifetime.
